Tree Felling Training
There are two courses covering the felling of small trees:
- A two day course on trees to a maximum diameter of 200mm. This course is assessed and will provide a Lantra Awards Certificate of Basic Skills and ID card. The course is aimed at those persons who do not intend to use chainsaws commercially. This course does not allow persons to go on and do any further units in the NPTC scheme; for this course 2 is required.
- This is a three day course and covers felling of small trees to 380mm diameter. It includes removal of hung up trees, felling trees that are leaning back and heavily leaning in the direction of fall plus, delimbing and cross cutting poles. This course is aimed at persons who are to use a chainsaw more frequently and who wish to move on to other units in the NPTC scheme.
Courses for 2012. (CS31) Fell and process small trees with a diameter not exceeding 380mm.
