BASIC TREE FELLING TRAINING
It is essential to get a thorough knowledge of tree felling techniques before commencing this operation and you could not have come to a better place. Whether you want to fell trees on an occasional or more regular basis there is a suitable course for you.
To attend these course you must have completed the crosscutting and naintenance course described under BASIC CHAINSAW TRAINING.
FELLING OF TREES UP TO 200MM - Assessed Course - 2557
This is a two day course felling trees to a maximum diameter of 200mm. This course is assessed and will provide a Lantra Awards Certificate of Basic Skills and a photo ID card. The course is aimed at those persons who do not intend to use chainsaws commercially. This course does not provide a Licence to Practice and does not allow persons to go on and do any further Licence to Practice units.

FELLING AND PROCESSING TREES UP TO 380MM - Training Only - 2541 (OLD CS 31)
This is a three or four day course and covers felling and processing of small trees up to 380mm diameter. It includes removal of hung up trees, felling trees that are leaning back and those that are heavily leaning in the direction of fall plus, delimbing and cross cutting poles. This course is aimed at persons who are to use a chainsaw more frequently and who wish to gain Licence to Practice in this and other Forestry and/or Arboriculture units. The course prepares you for the Level Two Award in Felling and Processing Trees upto 380mm (formerly known as CS31). This Award is available from Lantra Awards and full guidance concerning assessment will be given on the course or when you make a booking.

CROSSCUTTING, MAINTENANCE AND BASIC FELLING OF TREES UP TO 200MM - Assessed Course - 2558
This is a four day course that combines crosscutting and maintenance with felling trees up to 200mm. This provides a Certificate of Basic Skills and a photo ID card. It is intended for occasional users of chainsaws.

A five day course that combines crosscutting and maintenance with felling and processing trees up to 380mm. This prepares for the Level Two Award in crosscutting, maintenance, felling and processing trees upto 380mm.
