The HSE recommends that all persons receive regular refresher or update training. This is also a requirement of the Provision and Use of Work equipment Regulations. The frequency of updating is dependent on how much use is made of a particular item of equipment and should range between 3 and 5 years. Occasional users may require updating more frequently than regular users but the 5 year time period should not be exceeded.

NPC Training can arrange suitable refresher courses all of which are registered with Lantra Awards and provide certificates of attendance.

NPTC Certificates of Competence and Lantra Awards Basic Skills Certificates both last for life so no additional assessment, either during or following refresher training, is required. This makes updating your own skills or those of your staff both quick and convenient while costs are kept to the minimum.
